Dr. Cinzia Noble, BYU professor and department chair of French and Italian languages, will be the featured speaker at the Devotional May 9.

Noble, who will speak on “Putting trust upon the Lord,” was born and converted to the gospel in Pescara, Italy.

She will be drawing from her life’s experiences and blessings to illustrate the importance of having and exercising faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

“When experiences have been positive, I have seen the Lord’s hand and when they are negative he has given me the strength to endure and overcome,” Noble said.

“No matter our situation, we have to keep faith in the Lord.”

Professor Marc Olivier, a professor of French and Italian languages, feels that Noble is perfect for the topic.

“Dr. Noble is a good example of someone that is prayerful about the decisions she makes,” Olivier said.

“She doesn’t separate religion and her earthly responsibilities. She puts her trust in the Lord.”

The Devotional will be in the auditorium of the Joseph Smith Building.
