Letter to the editor: Get a better closing time song for the library

    185

    Dear Editor:

If the Harold B. Lee Library wants us to be going out at 11:45 each night, then why do they play “When The Saints Go Marching In?” After listening to this song night after night, it tends to rack on our nerves. We find ourselves fleeing the library well before 11:45 in order to escape the repetition of this song. We understand that the library wants us out by midnight, but we feel that there are more pleasant songs we could be hearing. All we are asking for is variety. This will compel students to study an extra 45 minutes until closing time to hear what the “song of the night” will be.
