Dear Editor:
The recent forged prank e-mail messages recently sent to all students were a waste of time and computing resources, but only slightly more so than earlier mass e-mail messages we have received. Other messages we have received from Lee Bartlett’s address include “Wear Blue at the Football Game,” “Go to the Career Fair,” and “Go to the Homecoming Dance.”
This is little more than free advertising, and should not be clogging our e-mail boxes. In some circles this is known as “spam.” Save the mass e-mailings for the truly necessary messages, such as the campus security report. We don’t want any more spam.
