    SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

    At 4 a.m. on July 28 a couple living at Wymount Terrace reported someone attempting to open their front door.The police are encouraging residents to lock their doors and report any suspicious activity in the area.

    THEFT

    A 49-year-old student was the victim of a theft when $40 was stolen from her purse. She left her purse unattended in a room in the Joseph F. Smith Family Living Center between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

    On July 25 between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. a backpack was stolen from outside Taylor Hall of Helaman Halls. The victim, a 17-year-old visitor, had her airline ticket, credit cards, $150 worth of CDs and $10 taken.

    FIRE REPORTED

    A fire was reported in the basement laundry room of W Hall in Desert Towers July 26. The police investigated and found that the smoke was from a washing machine. The washing machine’s engine had burned up due to overloading.

    INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR

    On July 22, between 8:15 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., a group of juveniles was harassing various EFY participants outside Stover Hall of Helaman Halls. One of the juveniles mooned the participants. He has been referred to juvenile court.
