INSIGHT: Insight, the Honors undergraduate journal, is currently accepting submissions for its Winter 1998 issue. Papers should be non-fiction, 8 to 15 pages long, scholarly and from any discipline. Pick up a cover sheet and submit papers to 102A MSRB by 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16. If you have any questions, call the Insight office at 378-3553.

VP COLLEGE REPUBLICANS: Are you interested in rubbing shoulders with the likes of Dan Qayle? That’s what BYU College Republicans did last January. College Republicans begin their first meeting of the semester tonight at 7:30 p.m. in 251 of the Tanner building. This club has a vision for BYU students — to activate, to educate and to involve. College Republicans discuss issues, e.g., the national deficit, foreign affairs, upcoming campaigns, and service opportunities. Government can seem insignificant when you don’t know how it affects you. We show you how policies affect your life. Shouldn’t that be reason enough to get involved? We are looking for people to serve on committees, e.g., political issues, public relations, service and activities committees. It is an exciting club with opportunities for you!
