BYU football has played on ESPN2 twice this year and at least once last year. As a resident of student housing, it puzzles me why Cougar Cable makes no effort to carry ESPN2 on a regular basis. Even if it doesn’t want to carry it regularly, an option I could understand, it could broadcast ESPN2 only when BYU is playing, like TCI cable offers as a service to its customers. One of the evils of a monopoly which bars competitors from entering the market is that there is no incentive to change. Let’s hope Cougar Cable doesn’t reflect this attitude.
