Chicago theology professor to present mini-series

    Dwight Hopkins, associate professor of theology at the University of Chicago Divinity School, will present a mini-seminar series in 20th Century Christian Theology on Thursday and Friday.

    Hopkins is Chair of the AAR Committee on the Status of Racial and Ethnic Minorities in the Profession, and he previously served as Chair of the AAR Black Theology Group, according to a news release.

    Hopkins is author of numerous articles and reviews. He is also the author of eight books, including the award-winning,”Shoes that Fit our Feet: Sources for a Constructive Black Theology.

    In addition, Dr. Hopkins has been an editor, has served on the editorial board for many periodicals, and has been a guest lecturer at institutions around the world, according to a news release.

    Hopkins will be holding two lectures. The first lecture will be today from 4 to 6 p.m. in 180 TNRB.

    The second lecture will be held Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. in 180 TNRB.

    The lectures are sponsored by the Richard L. Evans Chair for Religious Understanding.
