Elder Hillam to speak at Devotional

    Elder Harold G. Hillam of the First Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will speak at the Devotional today at 11 a.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall in the Harris Fine Arts Center.

    The Devotional will be broadcast live by KBYU-TV (Channel 11) and KBYU-FM (89.1).

    Elder Hillam was sustained as a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy on April 6, 1991. A member of the Presidency of the Seventy, Elder Hillam has served in the Second Quorum of the Seventy and as president of the Brazil Area of the LDS Church.

    He attended Ricks College and BYU before graduating from the Northwestern University Dental School, where he received the honorary Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Award. He then specialized in orthodontics, graduating with honors. He has served as president of the Idaho Falls Dental Society, Idaho State Orthodontic Society and Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists. He was also the president of the Teton Peaks Council Boy Scouts of America.

    Elder Hillam has served as a regional representative, a stake president and as president of the Portugal Lisbon Mission.
