BYU a capella group Vocal Point released a new “Beauty and the Beast” medley music video featuring Lexi Walker and the BYU Ballroom Dance Company, in preparation for the new film’s release on March 17.

Guest artists Gladys Knight, Peter Hollens and Lexi Mae Walker will collaborate with on-campus performing groups on the Homecoming theme “Go With Courage” at BYU Spectacular! on Saturday, Oct. 15.
Vocal Point combined its talent with that of The All-American Boys Chorus for the a cappella version of “Go the Distance” from Disney’s “Hercules” early in September. The song’s music video features the groups in matching polos and khakis, barefoot, in the ocean surf of Southern California.
BYU’s Vocal Point and Noteworthy have submitted their entries to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s first virtual collaboration, performing the “Hallelujah” chorus from George Frideric Handel’s Messiah. They are encouraging the public to participate by submitting their own videos.
BYU’s Vocal Point released their first Christmas album on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015. The album, “He Is Born,” features 11 songs including well-known classics such as “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” as well as “One Single Bell,” an original song.
A capella is important to life at BYU, and to the lives of both real people and characters in Hollywood.
