The Cougars head into Saturday’s game against Nebraska having won seven of their last eight season openers—and the majority of those wins were no cakewalks. Women's soccer continues winning streak

The BYU women’s soccer team extended their winning streak on the road as they defeated the Nebraska Cornhuskers 2-0 in what was expected to be a heated match.

“That was a tough battle tonight,” BYU head coach Jennifer Rockwood said.

Forward Ashley Hatch lit up the net early with a goal in the 16th minute giving the Cougars an early lead. The assist came from Nadia Gomes who was able to lose her defender and played the ball in the box where Hatch placed the ball in the back of the net. …

Stadium Wi-Fi enhances the connection between fans and social media

Alexa Barnes walked into the Safeco Field, home of the Seattle Mariners, to watch a baseball game. She bought some garlic fries and a drink on the way to her seat. Then she connected to the stadium Wi-Fi before uploading a picture to Instagram.

Between innings, she usually browses through social media. Barnes and her friends have also taken a special interest in the #gomariners hashtag because the screen at the stadium displays Instagram photos from fans.
