The men’s tennis team remained undefeated at home after sweeping Boise State University 4-0 on Saturday.
The match started out strong for the Cougars with a 6-2 doubles victory from John Pearce and Jacob Sullivan. Shane Monroe and Jeremy Bourgeois lost a tight 7-5 match, but Keaton Cullimore and Andrey Goryachkov were able to rebound for the doubles point for the Cougars in a tiebreaker (7-6, 7-4).

BYU beat NJIT in three sets Saturday night at the Fleisher Center behind Tim Dobbert’s team-high 12 kills.
“I’m happy with the team effort and focus we played with tonight,” BYU head coach Shawn Olmstead said. “It was nice to play different guys while still competing at a high level. The team had a great weekend.”

The BYU women’s tennis team had a rough weekend in Columbia, Missouri, falling to Wichita State and the University of Missouri.
Despite a 6-3 win from Mayci Jones and Toby Miclat, Wichita State took the doubles point after Nicolette Poulsen and Taylah Beckman lost their match (1-6), as well as Savannah Ware and Natella Nabieva (5-7).
Unfortunately, that momentum was carried into the singles play as well with three consecutive wins for Wichita State to close up their 4-0 victory.
The BYU women’s softball team went 3-2 at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Arizona, led by two stellar performances by junior pitcher McKenna Bull.
Bull threw a no hitter in the Cougars’ first game against San Jose State on Feb. 11, then followed that game up with a career-high 14 strikeouts in a win over Wisconsin on Feb. 12.
