Men's volleyball extends 32-game home win streak against UCSD

The BYU men’s volleyball 3-0 sweep of the UC San Diego Tritons Saturday in the Smith Fieldhouse started with a bang.

It actually was more of a Jake Langlois, Michael Hatch and Matt Underwood triple block than a bang, but it had a similar effect. The Cougars established their dominance quickly and didn’t let go until they won the final set 25-21.

BYU women's basketball: Cougars take victory in final minutes

The BYU women’s basketball team pulled out a 58-56 win over Santa Clara after trailing by seven at halftime on Saturday night.

The Cougars started the game flat, shooting only 32 percent in the first half. The Broncos were able to hit their shots and began the game on an 8-0 run. BYU pushed back and was able to close the gap to a 23-30 halftime deficit.

BYU men's basketball: Haws passes Ainge, Cougars beat Santa Clara 78-57

Tyler Haws moved past Danny Ainge for second on the BYU career scoring list in the Cougars’ 78-57 win over the Santa Clara Broncos Saturday night.

“When you pass a BYU Cougar legend like Danny Ainge, that’s amazing,” said head coach Dave Rose. “It’ll hit him sometime this weekend that that’s quite an accomplishment.”

BYU men’s and women’s swim teams found their rhythm in a victory over Grand Canyon University Jan. 31.
