Police Beat for July 7

Domestic Violence

June 26: A domestic violence complaint was made at Wymount Terrace. Officers discovered the couple to be having a loud argument.

Suspicious Activity

June 27: Officers received a call of a suspicious person pushing a bike in the Wymount Terrace area. When an officer arrived he could not locate the person.

June 29: Four suspicious males were soliciting magazine sales at Wyview Park. The men were identified and asked to leave.

 

July 3: Officers responded to a suspicious person at the Bookstore upset about the deodorant selection. The person picked up a stick of deodorant, kicked it across the floor, then paid for the deodorant and left.

Theft

June 29: A student reported a bike stolen from Budge Hall.
June 30: A camera and tripod were taken from an office in the WSC.
June 30: A sports camp participant reported a basketball and backpack stolen from the Cannon Center Commons.
July 1: A bicycle was stolen from Budge Hall.
July 2: A female student reported her Canon digital camera stolen from the Richards Building.

Fire

June 29: Officers responded to an oven fire in Bowen Hall. Occupants had put out the fire before officers arrived.

Missing Child

June 29: An officer responded to an unattended child at Wymount Terrace. The mother and child were reunited.

Trespassing

July 1: A report was made of a group of people trespassing on the baseball field. Officers were not able to locate the group of people.
July 1: Two BYU students were caught trespassing at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
July 3: Two female students were found trespassing in the Smoot Courtroom at the J. Reuben Clark Building. The women were identified and asked to leave.
July 3: A person was issued a misdemeanor for trespassing on the track of the Robinson Stadium.
