Country star Taylor Swift has been doing pretty well with her albums topping charts and receiving the VMA award for best female video for the song,“You Belong with Me.” This probably contributed to the release of Taylor Swift’s newest album.

On Oct. 26 the Platinum Edition of Taylor Swift’s “Fearless” album became available to the public. Along with all the songs that were on the original album that came out last November are six new tracks and a DVD.

Five of the tracks are new songs never released before, “Jump Then Fall,” “Untouchable,” “Come in with the Rain,” “Superstar” and “The Other Side of the Door.” There is also a piano version of her hit “Forever and Always.

Taylor Swift has said, “I’m fascinated by relationships and love and boys and the prospect of a happy ending, and completely analyzing it when I don’t experience a happy ending. That’s my number one inspiration when writing … I try to stick to feelings and emotions and that’s where I write from.”

This holds true for all of the new songs on the album. Swift has a definite sound and genre and she stays within it.

Staying in that genre isn’t a bad thing: “Fearless” has made triple platinum, at least proving Swift’s songs are enjoyable to the point that most people feel like they can relate to her.

“I like to write personal songs,” Swift said after ‘Fearless’ was first released. “I like to write songs that are very obviously about people. It’s kind of hard to change your stripes. I like to write songs about love, and I like to write songs about relationships, and I like to write songs about boys.”

Also included with the new edition is a DVD complete with photos from Swift’s “Fearless” 2009 Tour.

The photographs are high quality shots from Swift’s concerts and signings and are a great addition for any Taylor Swift fan.
