For all the art lovers, the Gallery Stroll will have new and exciting shows and exhibits for all to see young or old.
The Gallery Stroll tonight in Downtown Provo from 6 to 9 p.m. will have artists, musicians and exhibits on display to see and hear all night long. From the Covey Center to the Terra Nova Gallery there will be plenty to see. Outside The Vintage Flea Market at Velour Live Music Gallery, the band Moses will play along with an artist doing a demo at the Window Box Gallery.
Moses has been playing together for more than a year. The members came together because they are passionate about playing and writing music. They will be playing folk and folk/rock songs, and said they get inspiration from just about everywhere and love to do what they do.
“The songs I write touch on just about everything that surrounds me,” said Drew Capener, a member of Moses. “I write songs about the beauty I see and the pain I feel and just about everything in between.”
Moses will be open for Joshua James at The State Room in Salt Lake City on Nov. 20. who just got off of a four-month tour in the U.S. and Japan. Also, Moses’ album will be coming out this spring that was produced by Joshua James.
A local artist by the name of J. Kirk Richards will be doing a painting demo at the Window Box Gallery from 6-9 p.m. He will be painting during the show and anyone attending may enter the raffle to win his original at the end of the night.
F-Stop Café will also be having a re-opening with new menu items as well as two local artist’s artwork up to view.
At the end of the stroll, Mathematics Et Cetera will be playing a live show.
“My favorite thing about gallery stroll is the diversity that it supports,” said Conrad Nebeker, Public Arts Program director for Downtown Alliance. “People from all walks of life show up to look at art.”
