Joel ZaeJoDaeus began his career as a balloon artist when he was 14 years old. He has used his talents to pay for his schooling as well as other things that he wants to do. But he never knew that making balloon sculptures would make him so famous.

“It wasn’t until recently that I got an urge to make something bigger,” ZaeJoDaeus said. “So I decided that I was just going to do it and I blocked out some time and just did it.”

What JaeJoDaeus did was just make the biggest name in basketball right now. He created a large life size version of Lebron James.

“I prepared by making a couple experiments on the weekends then bam, just did it,” JaeJDaeus said.

To say that no one noticed his video would be an understatement. ZaeJoDaeus remembers getting an e-mail from ESPN asking him if they could play his video on their daily edition of the Top 10. His video was shown as the number 6 on the list that evening.

ZaeJoDaeus was at his ward building from about 11:30 a.m. till 9:00p.m. that night working on the sculpture. He said that it took a total of about six hours to make hundreds of balloons. When asked if he would make any other life size sculptures he said that he is open to the idea and to any suggestions.

“I enjoy doing balloon art and making things for people,” ZaeJoDaeus said. “I like to be a celebrity with the little kids when I go to events or parties.”
