Organization promotes Utah education tax hikes

Utah County residents gathered to voice everything from concern about pumping money into an “already failing system” to support for Utah’s future at one of seven public hearings held across the state Tuesday to discuss an initiative that could hike taxes and generate $700 million a year for public education.

BYU students not as conservative as some think

Millennial Mormons are leaning more left than their Republican parents, according to the Next Mormons Survey.  The 2016 presidential election brought politics to campus and students appear to agree with the survey — the campus is still majority Republican, but it’s getting a little more liberal.
