It’s not uncommon to spot him laughing in the dugout or telling a joke in the outfield, but just because he’s smiling doesn’t mean he isn’t about to wow the crowd with an impressive play on the field.
Former BYU athlete Craig Merkley enjoys watching the throwers on the BYU track team compete. Merkley threw the discus for BYU until he graduated last year, but staying up to date on such an obscure sport hasn’t been easy when there aren’t millions of other fans demanding to view the product.

The BYU baseball team stayed hot this weekend by sweeping West Coast Conference foe Pacific in a three game series. With the sweep the Cougars improve to 7-2 in league play and have won seven of their last eight games.
