The Latest: Trump says he’s headed to Florida

President Trump is traveling to Florida after a gunman killed 17 people on Thursday at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The gunman, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz, is a former student at the school who had been expelled.

Tough day for top Americans at Pyeongchang Olympics

Mikaela Shiffrin placed fourth in the women’s Olympic slalom on Friday, while Nathan Chen placed 17th in men’s figure skating after missing all his jumps.

Senate rejects immigration bills; young immigrants in limbo

Four separate immigration bills were defeated on Thursday, leaving immigrants who came to the U.S. as children in limbo. Trump has given Congress a March 5 deadline for restoring the DACA program, which he annulled last year.
