No. 3 BYU volleyball extended its winning streak to 11 games over the weekend after sweeping Pepperdine on Friday (25-23, 25-23, 25-17) and Saturday (25-22, 25-22, 26-24).

BYU holds a 17-2 overall record and a 11-1 MSPF record after the wins.

“This was a great weekend for our team,” BYU head coach Shawn Olmstead said. “Pepperdine is a phenomenal program, and I’m proud of our guys battling both Friday and Saturday night to get two wins here on the road. It was a great effort from our entire team. I loved our ability to focus when we really needed to sideout or score a point.”

Big nights from Jake Langlois helped the Cougars with a double sweep of the No. 9 Waves.

Langlois led in kills both nights with a total of 34. Brenden Sander had 14 kills on Friday night, in addition to four aces. Tim Dobbert also had 14 kills Friday night, followed by nine kills (.333) on Saturday night. Eric Sikes added 21 total digs on the two nights.

The Cougars will return to Provo on March 17 to face Hawaii.
