Theft

Sept. 18 – A painting was taken from Helaman Halls.

Sept. 20 – Orem police officers are looking for a silver Honda Accord that was stolen during the night.

Sept. 21 – A person was spotted cutting the cable and taking the wheels off of a bicycle.

Sept. 21 – A package was taken from the front porch of a home in Orem near 1000 S. Orem Blvd.

Sept. 21 – Two men and one woman were caught stealing items from Hobby Lobby in Orem. After running from the store when employees spotted them, officers were able to find the woman and the stolen properties. She was arrested and charged with retail theft, failing to stop for police, possession of paraphernalia, false info, possession of a stolen credit card and evidence tampering.

Criminal Mischief

Sept. 20 – An individual reported their tires being slashed in Lot 49, located near the LaVell Edwards Stadium.

Sept. 20 – University Police responded to a male student found planking in the atrium of the Marriott School Building.

Sept. 21 – BYU police officers responded to a report of an individual’s car that had received damage to the sun roof and mirror. The car was parked in Lot 39, near the Stephen L. Richards Building.

Sept. 21 – A male was taken to the hospital after he ran into the side of a car on his long board while racing.

Sept. 21 – A man was arrested after police pulled him over. He lied about his identity to hide that he had several felonies out for him.

Harassment 

Sept. 17 – University Police responded to two males getting in a physical fight during the BYU vs. UCLA football game over who should be the starting quarterback.

Sept. 21 – An individual from Wyview Park reported receiving harassing text messages.
