Ogden police are still looking for the missing sister missionary on Wednesday with no new leads on the case.

Sister Heeji Nada Kang, 20, from Houston, was last seen Monday evening leaving her Ogden apartment on foot, according to LDS Church spokesman Eric Hawkins.

The Ogden Police station reported on their Facebook page that Kang was an avid hiker and frequents the trails above Ogden, specifically the Waterfall Canyon Trail.

Kang has not been in contact with family or friends, the Ogden Police wrote on Facebook.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints asked for the public’s help in finding Kang on Tuesday.

“No foul play is suspected, but Sister Kang was emotionally distressed when she was last seen,” Hawkins said in a statement.

The Ogden Police were notified Monday evening of the missing person. Anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts should contact Detective Lewis of the Ogden Police Department at 801-629-8438 or the Ogden Police Department Dispatch at 801-395-8221.

“We pray she is safe and will be found quickly,” Hawkins said.
