The BYU Ballroom Dance Company took the stage at the Marriott Center on April 8-9 to perform a sophisticated, high-energy concert entitled “Swing ‘n’ Sway.”

Ballroom Dance Company members swung and swayed to dance numbers featuring traditional Ballroom, Latin, and Swing dances. The show included performances of the Foxtrot, West Coast Swing, Viennese Waltz, Lindy Hop, Samba and Paso Doble.

The concert also showcased a piece entitled “MicTendo II” by members of BYU Ballroom’s Touring Company. The group performed a glow-in-the-dark dance representation of many classic video games such as Pong, Pac-Man, Sonic and Super Mario Bros.

A total of 160 dancers participated onstage at the concert. The show included dances from five performing teams including the Touring, Back-up Tour, 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 Teams.
