San Diego handed the men’s tennis team their first in-conference loss on Saturday. The Cougars were swept 4-0.

John Pearce and Jacob Sullivan’s doubles win was the only Cougar victory of the day, but the Toreros took the other two matches and the doubles point. San Diego took the lead into singles play and secured the match with three straight set victories.

Cullimore’s, Goryachkov’s and Bourgeois’s matches were all suspended once San Diego had clinched the match.

The Cougars play again next weekend, taking on Santa Clara on Friday and San Francisco on Saturday in California.
