BYU and Baylor announced on Thursday that they have agreed to a home-and-home football series to be played in 2021 and 2022.

The Cougars will travel to Waco, Texas, in 2021 and the Bears will come to Provo in 2022.

“We’re excited to have Baylor on our schedule again,” said BYU Athletic Director Tom Holmoe. “The last series between the two schools featured two legendary hall of fame coaches in LaVell Edwards and Grant Teaff. Baylor is an exceptional football program and it’s great to see the two schools competing again.”

BYU and Baylor have played twice, and the series record is tied at 1-1. BYU opened the 1983 season with a 40-36 loss to the Bears, but returned the favor with a 47-13 victory in 1984.

Specific dates, kickoff times, broadcast plans and ticket information will be announced at a future date.
