BYU autocorrect texting fails

BYU students have had their texts autocorrected, causing situations that are awkward at their worst and hilarious at their best.

Smartphones can learn from their mistakes. Once an alternative spelling has been rejected, they don’t offer that choice again. Each phone adjusts to the language its owner uses.

But that also means once the phone chooses a word for a conversation, it can run with it.

The software behind autocorrect is not perfect. BYU has its share of text messages gone wrong.
