“I was very proud of the way the team fought today,” BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said. “I thought we played great. We shot the third-lowest total score [Tuesday]. Rose came up huge for us. She had an incredible round. She really has been a difference-maker for us.”

Huang finished the tournament three under par to earn her fourth top five finish in the 2015-2016 season. On Tuesday Huang shot the tournament best round score of 67.

Kendra Dalton finished tied for 19th place individually at six over par. Lea Garner and Brooklyn Hocker finished at nine over par and Alexandra White at 11 over par.

The Cougars moved up two spots in the second day after shooting 12 strokes less than the previous round. They finished the tournament with a collective score of 594 and 18 over par.

The Cougars will travel next to St. George, Utah on March 14-15 to compete in the Entrada Classic.
