“The guys were determined to shoot under par today as a team,” said BYU Director of Golf Todd Miller. “They were very close to getting it done. It was one of our best team scores of the year on a tough course. Patrick (Fishburn) didn’t have his best tournament, but he found a way to shoot some good scores. I was proud of the way Spencer (Dunaway) bounced back after shooting 80 the first round.”

Fishburn’s par score put him in the top 20 individually for the fourth time in the 2015-16 season. To reach that score he birdied three holes and eagled another in the second day of play.

Dunway finished the event tied for 40th place at nine-over-par. Austin Christiansen, CJ Lee and Kaimakani Ruiz concluded the event at 46th, 58th and 66th place respectively.

The Cougars travel to San Diego next on March 14-15 next to compete in the Lamkin Invitational.
