BYU basketball head coach Dave Rose announced on Monday that sophomore guard Cory Calvert is transferring from the program.

“We’re grateful for Cory’s hard work and dedication,” Rose said in a press release. “We wish him the very best with the rest of his collegiate career.”

Calvert has played very limited minutes. In five games he’s recorded five points and five rebounds on the season. As a freshman in 2012, Calvert averaged nearly two points per game. Calvert spent the next two seasons serving an LDS mission.

“I’m really appreciative of my time here at BYU,” Calvert said in a press release. “I’m grateful for the support from my coaches, teammates and our fans. I wish BYU the best of luck the rest of the season.”
