OREM — Police are investigating a shooting and stabbing that occurred just hours apart near 600 N. Monterey Dr. in Orem.
“There is an ongoing investigation to determine if the stabbing and a shooting cases are related,” said Lt. Martinez, the spokesperson for the Orem Police Department.
The shooter was believed to be on foot and stepped into the back of the complex and opened fire on the home.
Multiple shots were fired at a home while the residents of the home were inside. No one inside was injured from the shooting.
The stabbing victim was taken to the local hospital and is expected to recover.
Police are working to identify any suspects involved but no arrests have been made.
