08/05 – During the early afternoon police received a report of a bike helmet being taken from an area near the Clyde Building.

08/02 – A secured bicycle was reported missing from the bike racks near Lot 49, located directly north of the Miller Baseball Park.

PROVO

08/04 – The Provo Police Department hosted the National Night Out Against Crime event at North Park in Provo which was aimed at connecting police to the community. Festivities included games for children, treats for all ages and free bicycle registration. The National Night Out Program was started 30 years ago with the aim to reduce crime by building relationships between the community and local law enforcement.

OREM

08/09 – An Orem Police Officer was traveling on his motorcycle near State Street and 100 South in Orem when he was struck by a white car driven by a 19-year-old woman from Spanish Fork. The woman was exiting a Ridley’s parking lot and instead of entering the nearest lane she turned into a lane already occupied by the police officer. The officer received some road rash and is back home. The Utah Highway Patrol investigated the accident and issued the woman a citation.
