BYU men’s volleyball suffered a 3-2 loss to No. 2 USC in Los Angeles Thursday night.

The Cougars started the match strong, winning the first two sets before USC fought its way back. BYU started the first set leading as the Trojans tried to stay in the game, tying the score twice, but kills and blocks from Jake Langlois gave BYU the first set.

USC’s Alex Slaught brought things back in the Trojans’ favor by tying the match 2-2. Slaught had 24 kills and 12 digs for the night. The fifth set stayed tied despite several aces from USC. A final kill from the Trojans gave them the set 15-14 and the match 3-2.
