Theft

Dec. 3 — An officer responded to a report of delayed theft at Wyview Apartments.

Dec. 3 — An unsecured vehicle at Lot 49 was entered, and random items were taken.

Dec. 5 — An individual reported an unsecured bicycle taken from the bike racks near the Richards Building.

 

Harassment

Dec. 4 — An individual reported receiving several harassing phone calls.

Provo

Theft

Dec. 4 — A white male in his 50s dressed in a hat, wig, sunglasses and surgical mask attempted to rob a Wells Fargo at 66 E. 1650 North in Provo. Officers later found him and booked him into jail.

Orem

Scam

Dec. 8 — An Orem resident was scammed after he got a call claiming that his grandson was arrested in New York and needed money to be released. The man sent the money, later finding out that his grandson was nowhere near New York.

Driving

Dec. 8 — An elderly man was having a medical problem while driving in the Costco parking lot. The man hit the gas pedal and hit a female pedestrian. She suffered some broken bones and was taken to a local hospital.

Drugs

Officers arrested a man for DUI this week.

Dec. 8 — An officer wrote a search warrant on a room at a local hotel. One juvenile suspect was caught in possession of marijuana and LSD.

Theft

Dec. 5 — A man reported that some checks were stolen out of his mailbox in northwest Orem.
