Police arrested Provo resident Daniel Sparks, 25, Thursday for robbery and possession of a controlled substance, both second-degree felonies.

Wednesday morning an unknown male robbed the Utah Community Credit Union located at 1501 S. 40 East. The robber passed a typed note to the teller, which stated “This is a robbery,” and demanded cash. The suspect never displayed or mentioned a weapon. The teller provided the robber with a sum of money, and the robber exited the credit union. The thief was last seen walking southeast from the main entrance.

Provo Police processed the scene and posted surveillance photos online. While following independent leads, police received multiple tips confirming Sparks allegedly committed the robbery.

After conducting an investigation, police seized items related to the robbery and arrested Sparks.
