New York Times bestselling author Joseph Grenny will be hosting a community date night this Friday at the Provo Library.

The date night will be at 7 p.m. All proceeds from the event will go to United Way of Utah County, an organization that helps families become financially stable and prepare children to succeed.

Grenny works for VitalSmarts, a company that focuses on behavior change to improve communication. Grenny has hosted the date night for the last six years. The event has been well-attended every year, Grenny said.

“We want to help everybody who comes to have tools they can use to change their life and the lives of those they love,” Grenny said.

Grenny will be teaching from his book “Change Anything: The New Science of Personal Success.” He will focus on how to use six different sources of influence to help change habits.

Grenny is a four-time New York Times bestselling author. He travels the world giving speeches. He has traveled 5 million miles over the last 20 years.

“I love meeting, getting to know and learning about people all over the world,” Grenny said. “It’s just the most fascinating thing in the world to me.”
