Letter to the Editor: Don’t take away agency

    52

    Dear Editor,

The recent abortion “realities” articles have motivated me to write a response to it. I understand that people can feel so impassioned about this issue that they see anything not against abortion as for it. I disagree. I consider myself to be against abortion but think that it is a woman should have the choice to decide. Some would now label me pro-choice. I honestly don’t know what that means. I do know that I don’t want to be responsible for taking away anyone’s free agency. I don’t need to judge people because I know they will be judged by the Lord in their own due time. Some worry about the unborn children, but I know that they will also be taken care of. The talk of “rare instances” mentions times when it may be necessary. I wonder who of us is qualified and has the wisdom to make that decision. Please do not make the assumption that because I feel I lack the knowledge and wish to let the Lord handle the situation I am for abortion.
